Three cookies. None for marketing.

We use cookies sparingly because we do not have anything to sell you. This is the complete and current list of cookies set by fricker1696.org and how long they last.

In short

  • One strictly necessary cookie remembers whether you've dismissed the cookie banner.
  • One anonymous analytics cookie helps us count visits, without identifying you.
  • One Cloudflare cookie helps the host distinguish trusted traffic from bots.
  • We do not use marketing, profiling, retargeting, or third-party advertising cookies.
  • You can clear cookies at any time through your browser's settings.

What is a cookie?

A cookie is a small text file that a website stores on your computer or device. Some cookies are essential for a site to function; others help the operator understand usage; others — the kind we do not use — track you across multiple sites for marketing purposes.

The cookies we set

  • fricker1696_cookie_ack_v1 · strictly necessary · remembers that you have dismissed the cookie banner so we do not show it again. Stored in localStorage, not actually a cookie in the strictest sense, but disclosed here for clarity. Retention: indefinite, until you clear your browser storage. No personal data. No third party.
  • _ga / _ga_* · analytics · first-party Google Analytics 4 cookie that helps us count visits and pages viewed. We have configured GA4 with IP anonymisation and 14-month retention. We do not link analytics data to donor records. You can opt out by installing the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on, or by setting your browser to reject cookies.
  • __cf_bm · security · first-party Cloudflare Bot Management cookie that distinguishes legitimate readers from automated traffic. Retention: 30 minutes. No personal data.

Cookies we do not set

  • Marketing cookies of any kind.
  • Retargeting or programmatic ad cookies.
  • Cross-site or social-media tracking cookies.
  • Facebook Pixel, Meta Pixel, LinkedIn Insight Tag, or similar.

How to manage cookies

You can clear cookies and site data at any time through your browser settings:

  • Chrome: Settings → Privacy and Security → Clear browsing data.
  • Firefox: Settings → Privacy & Security → Cookies and Site Data → Clear Data.
  • Safari: Safari menu → Settings → Privacy → Manage Website Data.
  • Edge: Settings → Privacy, search, and services → Clear browsing data.

Most browsers also allow you to set a 'do not track' preference, which we respect for our analytics cookie.

Changes to this policy

We review this policy each May. The current version was last updated on 21 May 2026. If we add a new cookie, we will update this list before it is set in your browser.
